It all started in 2009 when Vivian, the founder of HappyAha.com had her first baby – David. Just like any babies to their moms, David meant the world to her, and she wanted to make sure that whatever baby products that she used on him, they were all-natural and free of toxins, and has positive effects on his health and growth. Since she was also nursing exclusively, she also paid close attention to products she was using and made sure she ate healthy food.
However, she was so confused and frustrated at the sea of store products and the long list of ingredients that she couldn’t understand. What is good and what is not? She would buy different brands of a similar product and came home to do all the research that she needed, figuring out what to keep, and what to return. She learnt the terms such as USDA Organic, non-GMO, BPA-Free, ADA, APMA, and EWG ratings, and how these standards can help moms make more informed purchase decisions.
In that instant, HappyAha was born. A passionate supporter of health, wellness and sustainability, she was saddened to see the choices parents make when it came to buying and understanding baby and mom products, and determined to change the situation by providing a place where only the best products for babies and moms can be found.
Vivian has 10+ years of experience in technology and business operations. She holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial and System Engineering from University of Southern California, and currently lives in Southern California with her husband and their son David.
